Ao Prao is the only public beach on the western side of Ko Samet. Ao Prao is the best and luxury beach on the island. Soft sand, beautiful underwater world, infrastructure, entertainment, number of visitors - everything is in perfect proportion.
Ao Prao is located near the main village of the island - Nadan - there are all shops, a pharmacy, hospitals, ATMs. It takes around 10-15 minutes to get to the resort by tuk-tuk. Speed boats arrive from Ban Phe (mainland) to Ao Prao, and there is a pier for them on the beach. The pier on Ao Prao used to be called Seree Ban Phe Pier, but now it is called Ao Prao Pier. The pier is open from 7 am to 6 pm.
